 December 21, 2020

Family is the most important part of our life. This is especially true during this isolation through COVID. I'm grateful for modern technology that allows us to see each other; however, it doesn't replace in person visits. Unfortunately we will not be able to meet together as a whole family for Christmas Eve as has been our tradition since I was a very little girl and continued with our children and grandchildren. We used to meet at my mom and dad's house with my brothers. Once we moved to Oregon and our children got married we eventually started meeting at one of our son's house. (Each of our kids picked a different holiday to host the family. It's great!) This year we will all be at our own homes. We will make the rounds to drop off presents and see our grandchildren but it won't be the same. We won't have our traditional Nativity play or our fun While Elephant gift game. We won't eat our traditional meal and visit with everyone. The cousins won't see each other and catch up and play together. I'm sad about that.
However, we will be able to focus on the Savior within our individual families. We can touch base with everyone and we can still share our love. Family is Everything! I am eternally grateful for my Forever Family!
